IKIGAI
In this project, we're required to explore and incorporate design notions and construction methods into a more comprehensive programme.We had to design a solitary haven which can accomodate two users, namely myself and a family member of mine in respond to the chosen natural landscape, which is Taman Wawasan Puchong.
Design Intention
1. To design a semi private kitchen that is transformable from solid to void with a spacious working environment.
2. To design an private and cozy studio with acoustic qualities and sits by the riverbank with a large and wide table installed.
3. To create visual connection between indoor space and outdoor spaces which bridges the connection between man made and natural environment.
4. To incorporate personal identity such as preferences into the working spaces and relaxation spaces to accentuate the reason of being and purpose in life.

Site Data Collection and Site Analysis
During the first few weeks, we had the opportunity to visit the actual site and collected relevant information regarding the park to be integrated into our assignment. Followed by, we completed the design vignettes and site use alternatives subsequently as well.

User studies and space exploration
I came up with a few spaces in relation to the brief which required 4 spaces, namely a working space for each user, a discussion space, a relaxation space and a washroom. Subsequently, I worked out a few programmes and circulation in the following weeks and came out with several drafts for the form as well.

Model Making
Finally, I produced the final model based on the final drafts with balsa wood.

Finalization
I produced the final diagrams, orthographic drawings, perspective drawings and models to be compiled into presentation boards and slides.

Reflection
Overall, I've learnt to design in respond to the context through this assignment and hope to create better site responsive designs in the upcoming semesters. It was a fruitful experience and I'm grateful to have my tutors and lecturers to guide me along the way.
