Importance of knowledge of built environment ?

1. To enhance the development and well being of children and young people, and supports healthier communities.

The built environment has the capability to influence everyone’s imagination and emotions, and to enable social interactions with friends, family, the community and nature. The places and spaces that people inhabit impacts their enjoyment of life, so getting it right should be a priority for everyone

2. To ensure a safe and guarded living environment

Knowledge of built environment ensures that our living environment is always under supervision by safety authorities or at least accessible by the police. Unlike the walled city, the spaces inside are too secluded and inaccessible by local authorities, therefore crimes were rampant and illegal activities were the norm.

A scene that left an impact to me

Jackie Pullinger, who's a Pentecostal Evangelist , saved souls of drug addicts, crooks and prostitutes by filling them with the Holy Spirit

In this scene, Jackie Pulllinger was guiding a group of locals who are determined to move on from their past to become better individuals. I feel touched as she is willing to be their mentor and conduct therapeutic religious sessions through bible reading, sing song sessions and so on. Despite the fact that the city was rampant with crimes, there were still quite a number of people who stepped out of their comfort zone and decided to turn over a new leaf. This has taught me that when there's a will, there's always a way.
