Progress
Describe your image
I started out by googling a wide range of portrait artists as suggested in the assignment brief. Eventually, I decided to pick Renee Magritte, Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh as the portrait artists in my design sheets. I decided to pick Pablo Picasso as he had a significant and remarkable style in his artworks, namely cubism. In addition, Vincent Van Gogh had an interesting colour palette and unique painting strokes. Rene Magritte’s thought provoking paintings left an impact in me as well. I explored each artist’s signature style and their composition methods through a series of mini paintings which was pretty interesting to make.
Describe your image
Followed by, I incorporated three of the artists’ approach towards their artwork into my self portrait which was presented in the form of 2 A3 sheets
